Sony NS930VS dvd player - Force NTSC output?

Hi,

I've got a multiregion version of Sony's NS930VS dvd player but the video's
a bit jerky when I watch R1 discs. A bit of research has led me to believe
this is because the player is converting the signal to PAL50. This is
unnecessary as my tv can cope with a pure NTSC signal, but I can't find any
setup options in the player to switch to Auto or PAL60 (and the manual has
no mention of this functionality).

Can anyone tell me of a way to prevent the automatic conversion to PAL50 for
R1 discs? Hopefully I've missed something in the setup menu and this will
be possible.

Thanks in advance,
Dave
