[Note: Added a.c.u and f-u set thereto. Some won't be able to resist the
temptation to add back photo, etc..... 3:1 odds given at the $2.00 Window.]

Steve-

I've been able to add a bit more to my understanding of the dynamics,
and have a deeper 'appreciation' for the depth of enmity that exists
among some of the players..... I'm not ready for the Dissertation, tho.

Cutting to the chase: It's been indicated that almost all of the "stuff"
will go away if certain demands are met (both in rec.photo and
r.p.e35mm, tho I started reading rpe only recently as I learned of some
important threads that weren't x-posted to rpd.) Issues I care
marginally about, but which has become at the least important for a
bunch of folks, and non-negotiable for a few.

Here's one barrier- most folks won't bargain with those that threaten;
but threats can stop. More than that, for the most part there's no
reason to believe that the tide can be turned back, either quickly or
effectively.

So the challenge to you and whomever else's up for/to it is to show that
the hostilities can stop with respect to the photo groups- for, what 3
months? six would be better, two might do. If that were done it could
lead to something other than what's been going on for quite a while, no?
