Can anyone tell me which would be the best flash to buy for my canon
G5, out of the canon speedlight 420ex and the sigma ef 500. I've seen
these both for around £130.00 and can't spend anymore, please advise.

I would get the 420EX. The Sigma EF-500 DG Super should work as long as
it's the 'DG', but I think the 420EX is a better balance for the G5. The
Sigma might make it too big & top heavy. I use the 420EX on my G1, it's a
good combo.
