Default wireless security setup

Just bought a new hp zv6130 laptop with a belkin wireless router. I want to
use highest security settings. Can someone tell me if I should set the
security settings up at the belkin site first or through windows first. I
already set the channel to 6 with no problems. I know where to go to set up
in both places. Thanks in advance for any help.

You set the confiiguration at the router first, then your laptop.

Belkin wireless router's are provided with a manual on CD (PDF document)
which can be helpful as it covers the security configuration of the router.
