I recently reformatted my hard drive. My wireless connection worked
perfectly fine before, but since reformatting, i can not even pick up a signal. I have reinstalled the drivers several times, but still nothing. Anyone know why this is happening? =?Utf-8?B?SXp6eQ==?= |

Maybe try OIDScope ( now rawether ) from
http://www.rawether.net/DotNet/default.htm to query OID_802_11_RSSI Arkady "Izzy" <> wrote in message news:6F11BFB8-FA96-40D5-A9C8-... >I recently reformatted my hard drive. Hi
Uninstall the Wireless Card drivers. If you Wireless client is Internal switch it off, if it is external take it out. Boot the computer one time without the Wireless Card, and check the device manager for "Ghosts", http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost Boot again and install the drivers (make sure that you have the most recent drivers as appears on the Wireless Card manufacturer site). Ok, so you reformatted and rebuilt your machine afresh. Assuming you
installed Windows XP, did you install XP Service Pack 2 and upgrade your drivers after the rebuild. Please check the following article and see if following the steps resolves your issue: Direct article link: Wireless Connection Troubleshooting in Windows XP Service Pack 2 (For users connecting to a Wireless Access Point or Wireless Router) http://www.ryanyounger.plus.com/wireless/article3.htm Main blog: http://spaces.msn.com/members/wirelessnetworking/ -- All the best, Ryan Younger. http://spaces.msn.com/members/wirelessnetworking/ - Ryan's Wireless Networking Weblog "Izzy" <> wrote in message news:6F11BFB8-FA96-40D5-A9C8-... >I recently reformatted my hard drive.
