Default Olympus Refurbished BEWARE

Before you buy an Olympus refurbished camera please check the page below.
This is how the camera was boxed, I have not used it.

did you buy it on ebay? where's the link to the auction? if you bought it
from a private seller , what does Olympus have to do with it? you say this
is how it came, you have not used it, then you say it's not a warranty
issue, the camera works fine... so which is it?

I am sorry David. The camera looks awful of course.
But ... I don't see what Olympus has to do with it.
You have bought it on eBay, not from Olympus.
It is the one that sold it to you on eBay that
has cheated you. And you will absolutly not get
a better lify by pursuing this issue further.
You will only grow bitter. My advice - concentrate
on being a winner and not a loser. Learn, and do
not do the same mistake again.

You bought it on ebay so you have no guarantee that it's a genuine refurb. And if it is, you have
no guarantee it hasn't been used since it was refurbished. The seller may have done a switch before
posting it to you. So why should Olympus give a s**t about you when you bypass their distribution
channels to purchase on the cheap? The fault here is that you are gullible and the seller
unscrupulous.
I see by the counter on your page that it's been viewed 499 times. Why don't you take it down
before you make a complete fool of yourself?

Rant: On

I think you C.G. ARE unscrupulous! And a dickhead for not showing the OP
some compassion! The guy is a common consumer like myself. Instead of trying
to be helpful and show him ways to avoid this kind of rip off. You have
instead tryed to boost your own feeling of complete worthlessness by
dragging him down or trying to make him feel like $hit the way you must feel
all the time.

And as far as his website getting 499 hits thats quite a bit. Rather than
putting something like "9483294653 visitors this week" that you *would* do.

My heart goes out to the OP. And I hope he get it resolved somehow. And for
C.G. and the person who perpetuted this rip off. I hope you enjoy the
miserable homemade hell you live in.

Rant: Off

Enjoy,
Peter

without a direct link to the auction itself, too much is left unknown. what
makes you think it was not all disclosed? were there pictures of the camera?
did the description say it looked like new? did it say "as is"?
how much did the auction end at? $1?

look around before you load up.

The OP showed us a picture of the product as it was
shown on the auction page. Looked brand spanking shiny
new, because it was clearly just one cropped out of Oly's
site.

Don't know if it's helpful or not, but I too have been
taken once in a similar manner. Now, I "ask the seller
a question"; asking them to please email me a few pics
of the actual item being sold.

Hope this is helpful,

Ken
