A70 Firmware Problem

I am attempting to do a firmware upgrade to my A70, The upgrade s/w dialogue
starts and then stops with the message "Multiple cameras detected, connect
only the camera to be upgraded".
Their is only 1 (A70)camera connected, however in the dialogue box when
Zoombrowser starts a choice is given of 2 A70 cameras.
Can anyone tell me how to remove 1 of the A70's in the dialogue to allow the
firmware upgrade to function.
I have uninstalled and re-intalled the Canon s/w with no effect.

Any assistance would be welcome

Thanks
