Canon Remote Capture and RAW images

When I use Remote Capture with my EOS D1s in the RAW mode, the image is
transferred to my computer, but it is in TIFF mode. If I am using the
RAW & JPEG, I get the JPEG iamge, but again, the RAW is in TIFF. It is
as though an automatic conversion is taking place.

What have I missed?
