Anyone know the thread/filter size for the Nikon UR-E4 adapter? I'm
thinking of trying some aftermarket auxiliary lenses on my Nikon Coolpix
885, and knowing the filter size would help. Thanks.

For the most part, you get what you pay. The Nikon converters lenses are
well worth the $$.

It is 27.5 mm.
Probably a bastard thread, proprietary to Nikon to discourage you from using
standard 3rd party lenses.
Nikon makes Tele and Wide angle adapters, but no Macro adapter.
However, if you can find a 27.0 mm or even a 26.0 mm lens you can wrap the
threads with teflon tape to build them up to the required size and screw
them into the UR-E4 adapter. Jury rigged, to be sure. But AFAIK, Nikon does
not make a Macro adapter for the 885. So if you want to fill the frame with
a slide, you have to seek help in the jury rig arena.
