RM: There's a lot which others ~could~ tell you, but it might be a bit
much at this early stage.
Here's a few tips to start with:
* Use Photoshop to open the images because you can do more, and what
you learn you can put in your permanent memory.
* Photoshop is great for getting professional advice.
* Don't use your original while experimenting. Do a "Save As" with a
different name AND SAVE as a tiff, not a JPEG.
* Set your measurements default to "inches" if it is not already set.
* Use the rectangle tool at top left to select your 6 x 4" area of
your pic. You will need to go to "Window" - "Show info" in order to
see how big the marquee tool is making your 6 x 4 area.
* After you select your 6 x 4 size with the marquee, select "Image" -
"Crop" to remove everything outside the 6 x 4 area.
* There's more to learn about altering pic size and number of pixels,
but try this first.
