First foray into 10D high ISO setting

I thought I'd post an image up - one of the first I've taken on ISO 3200.
The floodlighting was exceptionally poor so I had to use my standard 50mm
1.8 lens and capture the action close up. This is untouched in PS save for
resizing. I'm pasting the EXIF data below if anyone is interested.
I'm impressed with the results from the camera - I just need a faster,
longer lens now

Good shot..

Of course you've noticed that just resizing an image gets rid of 99% of the
noise

ISO 3200 isn't great for printing 8 x 10's, but it's absolutely fantastic for
shooting stuff just to post on the web.

You'll have to pick up NeatImage now and see how well it cleans up ISO 3200
shots..

To be honest, I'd love to start going along to some of the "lower division"
games to start getting into a bit of sports photography. No chance of that
at the Cardiff Blues, obviously, but do you think any of the
"non-professional" clubs would be open to an approach about doing some work
there? I'd be happy to send them a few prints if that will swing things! If
you want to take this conversation off-group (because I think it must be
boring for the others!) drop me an email -

I have an example of that here:

Scroll to the very bottom -- the pictures of the two cars.

Have you considered a good flash? The 420EX or 550EX flashes are probably
the most popular choices.

One option is to combine the flash with ISO 400 or ISO 800 to give it a
good range.
