Hi, I'd like to use my digital camera to film output from a computer
monitor. I bought a SONY TRV140, and the quality looks awful. I'm
showing random
dot patterns dots are at 640x480 resolution. The dots are extremely
blurred.
Help! WHat kind of video camera would be able to accomplish this
task?

thanks,
doris

None.
you would need an expensive setup with sync to monitor signal you are
currently filming with the camera.
This is because you are filming with NTSC camera with 24 frames/second aimed
at screen that refreshes anywhere from
60 to 120 frames/second (Hz for refresh terms)

What are you trying to accomplish?
If your trying to record what's going on the computer screen then how
about getting a video card for the computer with TV out ( not expensive or
hard to find ) and running that signal right into a VCR..you could watch it
on a TV connected to the VCR too. TV's make lousy computer monitors so most
people find TV out to be practically useless on a computer but if that is
what you want it should work fine for your purposes.
