I was wondering if there are any forums, newsgroups etc., specific to
the Olympus Camedia C-300 Zoom digital camera.

Many thanks.

Ruth.

Sometimes cameras are given different model numbers in different
countries. Are you in the US? If so, there is no C-300. There is a C-
3000 and a Stylus 300. Is it one of those? If not, is this a new camera?
What does it look like?

I'm a bit familiar with the D-550 Zoom. Nice enough camera. Lots of
toys, good specs. I had originally bought one of those, but ended up
trading it in on a C3020 Zoom because I wanted the SLR shape, rather than
the 'bar of soap' pocket camera shape. Particularly because the flash of
the D-550 pops up right where I have my finger when holding the camera. It
has the video out, though, which the C3020 lacks. Sigh. It has more 'user
friendly' special modes, too. Good lens on it. Nice choice.

Not really. The lens lets little light through on the telepho end.

A much better choice. The C3020 has a lens that is f2.8 throughout
its entire zoom range.
