Hi! Can anyone kindly advise if the Cullmann CX 35 external flash can be
used on the Oly C5050Z. It is a simple flash that I use with my Nikon FM &
FE. And by the way what shuttle speed should I set for external flash with
the C5050 on manual mode?

Thank you!

Thanks for your input. I have thought about that but like many who made the
transition from film to digital, its wasteful to see your investment in
"film" based equipment go to seed. I would like to recycle the use of these
equipment as much as possible and of all them, the Cullmann Flash seems most
feasible.

I don't see the Cullman CX 35 flash's trigger voltage listed in:

http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html

but other Cullman flashes seem to have safe voltage, so it should work. In
terms of shutter speed, I believe the C-5050Z will sync up to any speed (one
small advantage of an electronic shutter over cameras with a more traditional
mechanical shutter).

Note, the FL-20 is a crippled flash (no bounce support, somewhat weak),
unfortunately the TTL flash I use (Promaster 5750DX) isn't available outside of
the USA.

For reference my FAQ on Olympus digital camera flash support is at:
