Best Nikon mount DSLR for IR Photography

Just wondering if anyone out there has had any experiences (good or bad)
with using a DSLR for infrared photography. I've got an old Nikon Coolpix
950 that I absolutely love for the infrared shooting I do, but in the future
I'll most likely be upgrading to a digital SLR for my Nikon lenses. Is
there a clear winner out there for someone interested in IR photography in
digital? Thanks in advance.
