I was wandering around a building site this afternoon taking photographs
when I brained myself on a crossmember as I stepped through an
incomplete wall. I probably should have had a hard hat on.

So do I, but in 20+ years of riding, I've never banged my head on
anything.

I do. Mine has a big thumbprint on it now, where I grabbed my camera
when I walked into the crossmember described above. Of course if I'd
been wearing a hardhat I probably would not have needed a protective
filter...

Maybe this is a difference between the G2 and the D10.

If you arrange to reflect something bright (e.g. a ceiling lamp) from
the face of the LCD screen in the G2, the reflection is quite faint,
comparable to the reflection from a good multi-coated filter. On the
other hand, all the Lexan I've used reflects quite a bit more, with a
reflection that's comparable to plain glass, or an uncoated filter.
The difference is quite striking, something like 2 stops or more
difference in brightness.

Is the reflection from your Lexan, and the original D10 LCD, more like a
multi-coated filter or plain uncoated glass?

Dave
