Uploading .jpg's

Hi, can anyone help?

A friend of mine is having a problem uploading an .jpg image via a
'form-based file upload'.

She has 2 computers, one desktop and the other laptop, both run XP home.

When using her laptop,uploading an image to the forum works fine - the image
is clear to see and the name of the file appears as (example):
www../.../../messages/15/29738.jpg

When using her desktop PC to upload the image to the same forum using the
same method, it appears as an attachment and is not immediately visable. The
filename appears as (example): www../.../.../messages/15/Walt Disney
29842.unk
[If you click on the file it will open up as a image jpg and view correctly.]

I feel there is a setting that requires altering on the desktop PC to allow
an upload of an image to appear currently. Does anyone have a idea what the
setting is and where I can find it? I have track down that this problem is
not related to the physical file format or software package used to
create/amend the file.
