Of course, that's the purpose of an FAQ.

A serious question would be eg.,

Is it possible to use voipbuster with an ATA or an asterisk server?
(since the details are a complete arse to try and find on their site).

or

Are there any uk providers that support either the T.37 or T.38 FoIP
codecs? (which since asterisk doesn't yet, is quite unlikely, but I'm
damned if I know the answer.).

Obvious questions that will be ignored (or a sensible reply which
wouldn't contain any company names), would be who are the cheapest, most
reliable, best etc. Since it seems to be pretty reasonable to say that
the various providers offer different services that aren't as simple to
compare.

IIRC the usual process is that someone suggests writing one, ends up
with a few hundred emails which are sorted into a posting (not larger
than 64k) and then a proposed one is posted to the group, this ends up
very quickly being a massive bitch-fest and a few weeks later when
everything calms down a single document is posted regularly (usually
once a month) with the details in (still open to submissions) and
crossposted to news.answers and uk.answers.

Oh and the final document needs to have in it the name of the group or a
description of what the putpost of the group in the FAQ title to comply
with the news.answers charter.

Am I missing anything?

how do I killfile postings from a certain IP address or IP address
range (the whole of NTL and blueyonder spring to mind, with apologies
to any sensible cable internet users who become collateral damage)

and how do I stop troll-feeders re-quoting posts from trolls that I
have killfiled, therby bringing their posting diarrhoea to my
attention.
