Default Windows start/ Microsoft NET Framework

I have just installed Norton Ghost 9.0 and Microsoft NET Framework. Now when
XP starts up it requires me to click on my user name before it opens. Can I
get rid of that option?
Derek.

NG v9.0 , but no version of .NET Framework, the issue was fixed in the
SP.

Do a bit of research, read past posts in 24HSHD and MS newsgroups that
http://groups.google.com/group/24hoursupport.helpdesk?
tell you why you now need to select your username, due to .NET
Framework.

Then you may have seen,

===ripped from an old post===

Why does it need another User Account?
The big complaint with there being another user created is that when it
is created it will prevent auto logon had there previously only been one
user on the computer.

This can easily be corrected on the first version of the .Net Framework
v1.1 by downloading the following registry file which fixes the problem
by adding ASPNET to the special accounts list.

Or live with it -

Maybe even find out why the account is created -

What is this new user account for? What created it?

Why does it need another User Account?

In September 2004 Microsoft released Service Pack 1 for version 1.1 of
the .Net Framework, the automatic logon issue was corrected along with
further security enhancements

I avoided the service pack version 1.1 for Net Framework as

a at the time I did not have Net Framework loaded.
b none of the things it seemed to be for really affected me.
c It said that it cannot be undeleted
Now I will download it.
Derek.
