The above software came on my new Dell Dimension 3000. Whenever I close the
application, I get a window reminding me that I have no days left for the
premium software. How can I get rid of that reminder?

Thanks

Doesn't it have instructions in the reminder?
You should have some hint of how to go to Jasc to get whatever you need.

The nag screen indicates that you
only had the 30 day trial version. I
suspect the answer would be to
uninstall it or purchase the retail
version.

Corel now owns Jasc...have you
checked with them?

Here's the Jasc site but it directs a
buyer to the Corel site.

Simple: UNINSTALL IT!

You got a trial version of the program. Lots of computer vendors shove
trialware (it degrades itself into crippleware or disables itself after a
trial period) onto their machines to pretend to new customers that they are
getting lots of software pre-installed on their host. It is use to pump up
sales by lying to customers. I've seen the same crap dumped onto boxes for
Norton Anti-Virus which is only a 60-day trial version. It's all to make
you think that you got more than you really did. Obviously if you wanted to
trial a product, you don't need Dell pre-installing it for you since you
could simply go to the software vendor's web site to download their trial
version. Computer makers love to bloat the box with fluffware and
auto-crippling trialware.

I would've thought the choice was obvious: buy the product so you can
register it to continue using it, or uninstall it! Decide if you want it or
not (and if you're willing to pay for it). Since Dell duped you by shoving
one trialware product on your disk, it is likely that you have other
auto-crippling trialware products, too.
