I was installing a children's game on my computer and it said that it was
missing "winspool.dll" - what is this file used for? I found the file on the
net and downloaded it which came in a zip file- how do I now install it?
Will my game now work?

Thanks,
Grace

Do a search in Google for winspool.dll and you may find the particular game
and problem and solution. One such hit was:

Follow my advice about doing a search in Google for winspool.dll .
It seems that if you have Win2000 or WinXP you need to copy your winspool.drv to
a temp folder, rename it to winspool.dll and then put that in Windows\System.
Remember, copy and rename, and then insert. Don't delete or rename the original
file (winspool.drv).

You didn't mention your OS but what is lacking may be that the dll
needs to be registered.
