Default emails with viruses

I have received emails from you informing me that you have deleted new
messages because they contained viruses. Forgive my ignorance, but I
couldn't see who they were from and also what do you want me to do about it?
Regards

Don't worry about it.

Sue

1 24hoursupport.helpdesk is an International 'News Group' and is not
associated with your ISP (btconnect ?) in any way.
btconnect make the newsgroup available as part of their 'service' to you,
the content is from thousands of contributors around the Internet.

2 I would recommend you do not worry about messages from your ISP
telling you messages have been deleted because they contained viruses. A lot
of Virus emails are generated by Virus infected 'Zombie' PC's that 'Spoof'
the return or from address so even if they do tell you who it's from you are
not going to be any the wiser.
Just be thankfull they have deleted them before they get to your machine.
They are not expecting you to 'do' anything about it. The message is auto
generated as a courtesy by their email scanner.

Cheers
Paul.

There are a lot of Spam mails going around that contain Trojans, to make
user's computers send out more Spam. There are also malicious emails going
around.

The best thing to do is to not open any Spam mail. Simply delete it. Let
your virus scanner keep doing its cleaning of any malicious emails that it
can find.

Do you think we're your ISP? I'm in the U.S.

If you're receiving messages from your ISP that they've deleted
viruses to you, you probably won't get any useful info from them
because, typically, viruses forge and at least my ISP's messages like
that don't include the originating IP of the message, just the
supposed sender. I just delete them.

If you're receiving messages from other ISP's that you have sent virus
email, try to see if they give information as to where the original
virus message came from.

If the original virus email came from
dsl153.philadelphia.pa.verizon.net and you live in London, it is
extremely unlikely you sent the message. As I said, viruses forge. I
receive messages all the time that I "sent a virus" say from a Dutch
cable modem even though I can see the Empire State Building out my
window.

If it is at all possible you did send the message, you might want to
scan your computer for viruses.

Wow, you must have a big telescope to see New York all the way from Holland.
