I downloaded a systems diagnostic tool and it gives me the following
information for my ram

Memory
Capacity: 512 MBytes
Location: System board or motherboard
Maximum Capacity: 768 MBytes
Maximum Memory Module Size: 1024 MBytes
Slots: 3
Error Correction: None
Name: Physical Memory Array
Use: System memory

I can see it says I have 3 slots and it says the Maximum Capacity is 768
MBytes

Does this mean each slot can only take 768MBytes? or does it mean in total?

I want to add 512 MBytyes, does it look like it is possible?

why would they provide 3 slots if the total memory is 768MBtyes?

So I can only add 256mbtyes!

How easy is this process as I have never opened up my pc before and do not
want to **** my pc up.

You purchase the right memory, open the box up and plug the memory into one
of the open slots and be done with it.

You should make sure you turn off the power to the machine first before
sticking your hand in there.

Duane - How would I go about increasing my ram to 1024 and possibly 2gig,
what parts of my pc do I need to upgrade?

Well, if your mobo takes a max of 768, and you want to add more, you
will need to replace your mobo with something that accepts more ram.
