Might have helped if you'd mentioned the manufacturer of the scanner and
which site you downloaded the non-working drivers from (in case someone
suggests the one you already used)...

http://download.microtek.de/drivers/index.php

Will take you to a download for CyberView X v1.06a for Win 98SE / WinME /
Win2000Pro / WinXP.

Details, Shmee-Tails. It's *much* more important to use a really cool
newsreader like Agent, and have a neat-O name with "special" characters in
it, than it is to compose a decent post.

For goodness sake, Dave. Don't you know *anything*?

By the way? I'm not real big on spelling lames, but if somebody doesn't
even care enough to proof-read their own subject line right? Are they
really worth replying to?

And yeah. I know the 'c' is next to the 'v' on the keyboard. It's not the
point.

Writing about "special" characters reminds me of something though......

Oh yeah. The short bus is waiting for me outside.

Bye!

Thanks Dave
I should have mentioned the scanner is a Microtech
That's the page that I was looking at yesterday, which is different
from the non-working drivers
The price is right - I just hope it works

I had problems getting my PrimeFilm 1800i scanner running on XP.
Pacific image tech support gave me the reply below.

"below is one of the possibility of the error message.
Those error messages may pop up when Cyberview 32 driver were imported.
Cyberview 32 was an old version driver of PF1800i.
Would you please make sure Cyberview 32 driver has been removed from you system?
Also, please import again CYBERVIEW X-SF."

Also someone on this group recomended loading the ASPI drivers from Microsoft.
I did both these & the problem went away.
