Im running Windows XP with service pack 1 in my AMD 2600 Athlon PC with 1GB
Ram. Recently when I boot up a segmented band has appeared on the bottom of
my display and the PC needs to go through the band before it runs windows. I
have tried reinstalling XP and updating my graphics drivers but this has not
fixed the problem any help would be appreciated as to what the problem is
and how to remedy it?

We highly recommend that you install Service Pak 2. Poast back if you still
have problems after doing that.
