Google groups - no spam please!

Hi,

I just made a google group account and successfully posted messages to a
newsgroup. But unfortunately, my real email-address has been put in the
header of the message. This means that email address will be spammed -
sooner or later.
Two questions:
1) is it possible to put a fake email address in the header (if using google
groups)? If so, how?
2) if 1) is not possible, what other webbased newsgroup services are
available. Preferably free!

Thanks a lot.

Not that I know of which sucks

One option is to either sign up with a forwarding service such as
www.despammed.com (free) or create a junk account with hotmail or
yahoo (both free) and use that for posting on Google Groups and just
use a signature to tell people to reply to another address.

I remember reading something about Google Groups 2 doing something
about this.

All they really need to do is enable posting using

Thanks a lot, Morgan and Wizard, I'll subscribe to such a forwarding
service. BTW, I understand that "google groups 2" is still under
development? If it's not under development, what's its address?
Anyway, "groups-beta.google.com" does not offer what I want, cuz that's the
website I've used.
