Hi, all

Since I upgraded to an LCD monitor yesterday, Windows 98se doesn't want
to open new windows thru either the taskbar icon or File menu. It
*seems* to mis-direct the command to the original window, like a Refresh
command.

By hitting CTRL + N rapidly I can overwhelm the blockage, but then I've
got 6 or 7 new windows when I wanted one. Windows has done this before,
but the problem seemed to go away by itself, probably after a reset. Not
this time, though.

Any idea what causes Windows98 SE to botch New Window commands? I don't
know why upgrading the monitor would affect the OS.

Check in Folder Options>General tab, there's an option there to 'Open each
folder in its own window', tick it, mayhap that will solve the problem, hope
so...luck...
