CD Burner Question

In my last post I said that all of our office machines had the windows
service pack two installed. It turns out that one did not. This system has a
generic dvd reader/cd read write drive. Before I upgraded this system to
service pack two all worked well with this drive. Using the latest version
of Nero I was able to burn cd's. After I upgraded the system to service pack
two I was no longer able to burn cd's, however, the drive worked in every
other respect. I was using Memorex "Black CD-R" disks. My computer friend
suggested several fixes. The one that finally worked was to purchase some
different cd's. These are called "Maxwell CD-R". Why is it that my old cd's
no longer work? Isn't a cd-r/w a cd-r/w? Apparently not!

Nero needs to be updated to above version 6.3.x.x to work with SP2.
