When I burn a script to a CD for backup does it change it?

Hi

I have a script I want to install on my server, it was backed up on a CDR
and I now have put it back onto my pc ready for uploading.

I noticed int he past that it makes files read only when they are burned,
but will that effect the actual script?

Do I need to change it when I go to upload it? Or is it nothing I should
worry about.

Thanks
