I know i don't know much about linux but have access to a redhat server.
I'm free to do what i want, no worries bout isp pitching fit. This server is already online as a dns server and has apache on it and has a static ip. Is there a 'linux for dumbasses' somewhere that i could read to figure out how to put some pages online? This is a learning experience and i'm a rank beginner with linux but would like to learn more. What's the first steps to putting some pages on? I do have a domain i'd liek to use. Mackeral |

There are more than a few "For Dummies" books on linux. But the first thing you should do is find out where your version of apache is stores it files. Toss an .html file in there and off you go. The redhat newsgroups are a good start and this site might be helpful http://www.justlinux.com/ -- Mike Be nerdy, join nerdfilter http://nerdfilter.com Mike245 |
