Test PC SP/DIF to Dolby Decoder

Any ideas how to test ...

PC with Audigy SP/DIF output to Dolby 5.1 External Amp?
The Amp has a 5.1 channel test mode so would like to play a similar test
signal on PC and hear each speaker individually.

Yes but when I select SP/DIF I cannot use the test.
Any AC3 signal is passed directly to SP/DIF out.

Wait I stand corrected the Surround test works but only for 2 of 6 channels
from the PC with digital output enabled!?!?

After much ****ing about I eventually found and downloaded Creative
Playcentre and a Jazz 5.1 AC3 tune and ****ed about some more and clicked
this and that then the other .... and fcuk me if it didn't work .... no idea
whatsoever what I clicked but it worked .... hooray!
