I was converting my root drive from FTFS back to FAT32. I'm using the
brand new Ghost9. I'm used to the old Ghost booting to DOS automatically. This thing requires the Symantec Recovery Disk. Usually, there is an option to make a recovery disk when Ghost is installed. Not this time. I can't get this to work. Is there some site where I can download a copy of this? Thanks. Scribner |

The recovery disk has to be made on the machine that is going to be used for
its own recovery, or a near identical machine in its hardware setup. There are some configurations that are important for this. There should be a utility to make a recovery boot diskette in one of the menus of Ghost. Look in its help system for details. I see this in my installation. According to MS, you cannot convert back from NTSF to FAT32. If you backed up with Ghost from an NTSF drive, you can only restore back to an NTSF drive. The only way to go back is to unpartition the drive, and then start again from scratch. Just make sure you first backed up all your user data in a standard format, so you an copy it back. You can use standard CDR disks for the user data. -- Jerry G. ====== "Scribner" <> wrote in message news:... >I was converting my root drive from FTFS back to FAT32. I'm using the > brand new Ghost9.
