Hello friend

I am asked to write a searching algorithm for my collge database
which is having thousands of pdf files, Can any one tell me how can i
do that . Any he;p is highly rewarded and appresiated

Dude, are you sure that you should have us doing your homework?

Plus you haven't really given enough information. Are you doing a simple
search by file name? Are you going to want single results, or multiple
results. Are you going to want to search inside the file? All of these are
things you should know. Anyways the easiest way to program a search
algorithm is to use what the call the Shell(Bubble) sort method. Go to
google and type that and you can get script samples for most major
programming languages.
