I had xp sp2 and had to run repair off the xp restoration disk. Everything
survived the restoration/repair and the system worked again. . .only it
takes FOREVER for windows to come up and most oftenly to boot off also.

Anyone know how to get it booting up and out more quickly? It used to be
pretty darn fast.

Oh yea, almost forgot. I have now left it on service pack 1 and haven't
jacked it back up to service pack 2.

Defrag the HDD, the system files will be all over the place.
