Hello. My hard drive seems to have acquired an annoying buzz when it spins
up to a certain speed. It is only 2 years old. Should I be worried. I have a
laptop. I don't know what kind of hard drive I am running. Sorry about that.

You might want to start keeping your important files backed up to a
Zip drive, CD, USB drive or MicoDrive.

I would be worried. Download the diagnostic tool from
the drive maker's web site and run it. You can use
Everest to find the info you need:
http://www.lavalys.com/products.php?lang=en

Is there any warranty on the unit? Even if there is
no warranty on the notepad, there may still be on
the hard drive. Run the utility before you start
panicking.

I found the name of my hard drive and did a search on Google, but I can't
find the manufacture who made it. I'll try from my laptop vender.

Everest will tell you that. <SIGH!>
Look under 'Computer / Summary ... Storage'.
It even gives links to the manufacturer's web site.
Did you even bother to look?

vender of my laptop and found the diagnostic tool. That's as far as I got
for now.
