Try downloading the newest drivers for the SoundMax, uninstall it, remove
it from the device manager, reboot and then reinstall. That might do the
trick.

Recently ungraded to media player 10, now I havn't any audio when playing
Mpeg's.
Like a fool, I had system restore off....something I thought was a good idea
in case I picked up a Trojan or similar.
Any ideas on how to setup the audio?
It's a Dell dimension 8400, sound is onboard SoundMax digital audio.
