New notepad, with clean XP home freshly installed.

Would like to copy HD to HD at DOS level using 2002 version of Power Quest.
*Thus pretty much ensuring a successful copy back to HD if required. This
would be easy IDE to IDE on a desktop*

On the new notepad, only an external USB2 HD Device will be available for
backup, and as far as I can see USB HD's are not supported at DOS level
*Power Quest*.

Any advice preferably not requiring the purchase of new software greatly
appreciated.
