I have Windows XP. A few days ago I did something on my PC, since than I
can't run any more 16 bit and MS-DOS programs .
When I try to run them I receive a message :

16 bit Windows Subsystem.
C:\WINDOWS|SYSTEM32|AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Chose 'Close' to terminate the
application.
And than I have an option to click 'Close' and 'Ignore' buttons. Both
buttons close the application.
I checked for 'AUTOEXEC.NT' and that file doesn't exist on my PC.
I have installed many Education programs in 16 bit for my kids. Now can't
run them. Please tell me how to fix my problem.
Thank You in advance.

Care to share? Anyone searching Google for the answer, in the future,
might like to know the solution.
