windows xp home. I'm getting a screen on start up asking which user to
log on to which I've never had before, it has always automatically
gone onto mine. How do I change it back.?

That is controlled under User Accounts options. These are found under
Control Panel | User Accounts.
I believe its under change the way users logon and off.

Click start---run---- type in Control userpasswords2 click ok
