Try:

\\chi-dc1\ etc. (Backslash, not forward slash)

/ is a command switch, so "//chi-" is probably being viewed as a command by
xcopy.

I tried using Norton Ghost 11 from a CD to Clone Win 7 OS1 to OS2 and it messed up both the OS2 copy and the source OS1. The copy boots and works for the most part but I can not install programs. SymLinks like Application data, Favorites, Templates etc... are missing from the C:/users/all users.
Ghost would not copy Symlinks and junction points. Even worse it deleted Symlinks and junction points for the C:/Users/ All users directory in both OS's.
I have never encountered such a problem.
Now I need to rebuild the OS1 All users directory.
I do not have a clue how to fix this without a total reinstall. Got any ideas on how to copy Symlinks and junction points without coping their contents ?
I read Xcopy is able to copy Symlinks and junction points without coping their contents, using the /b option but I can not get the syntax correct.
From another computer, With permissions set, Took ownership and tried; Xcopy C:/users/"all users" 2:/users/"backup" \b
Resulted in 0 files copied/
Why ??
What is the correct command ?
