Great newsgroup guys and a great way to learn more about computer hardware/
software. So, a few things I had parked until I could talk to someone with
more savvy than me and which I will handle in three separate postings.

1. Frequently and when I attempt to load IE6, the following message
appears on a blank background:

y.msn.com/'>here.

One or more further attempts to load the browser (defaulting to "My msn"
homepage) resolves it, but it is obvoiusly a pain in the arse.

2. Where in the directory is Outlook in MS Office storing my e-mails? I
have searched and searched and maybe I can't see for looking, but I want to
back them up on a data CD (it doesn't appear to be in the same place as my
address book and the "find file" function does not help either).

Many thanks,
Andy.

I think I have found Outlooks e- mail them in
C:\LocalSettings\ApplicationData\Microsoft\Outlook

They are however in .pst format. Is there anyway to open them wth a
different application from Outlook? Or can I only save these as .pst files
to back-up and, if ever necessary re-load them using OE? As far as I can
tell, this means you cannot see specifically what you are backing up other
than a .pst file of, say, 3MB.

Andy.

Outlook stores it's .pst files in the "c:\documents & settings\your user
name\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook" folder.
