TweakUI has several settings under a "Paranoia" tab which will
automatically clear several most-recently-used lists.

Version 1.33 works fine on XP, and has more options than the "XP"
version. It is a control panel applet, written by Microsoft.

You might also look into MRU-Blaster. According to the webpage, it can
clear 30,000 MRU lists.

You can clear some of the MRU lists manually by going to internet
options in IE and the Taskbar settings, but both of these apps are
small, easy to use, automatic, and free.

To original poster ( Chuck )

If you're familiar with the registry;
Here's what I do with windows ME.
I bring up the Regedit File
Click | EDIT | FIND | Type in (Typedulrs)
Use Find Next Or F3
This will take you to the list and you can delete what you want.

Hope this helps you,
George
