I was running 98 and I wiped and installed 98se and now I can't use
thumbnail view, the option in the views drop down is gone, if I right click
the root folder it has a check box to enable thumbnail view even tho it is
selected the jpg's do not show as thumbnails...

Any clues?

As well i've noticed something else fishy, when i open a image to view it by
doubleclicking it it opens in the photo editor program, not IE. I
re-associated all jpg files to IE but whenever i open one it opens in photo
editor.

Copy/paste the following into Notepad and save it
as a .reg file. Double click on the saved .reg file
to merge it into your registry -- BACK UP YOUR
REGISTRY FIRST.
