Intel application utility

Hi i got Asus P4PE i845pe intel chipset and do i need to install Intel inf
utility and intel chipset application accelerator. I'm using windows xp pro
and what do those two programs do i read it on intel site but i didn't
understand so in simple word if anyone could explain it to me.
