I have tried to access Google. I am using Windows ME (whatever that is).
My web browser is called Microsoft Word. I type www.google.com but it does
not do anything!

Microsoft Word is *NOT* a web browser. You need to open Internet Explorer,
Netscape, etc., and type www.google.com in the "Address" line and press
enter.

Then, when Google comes up in the web browser, you can type in what you are
wanting more information about...like "Skunks" - Google finds "about 154,000
for skunks [definition]. (0.14 seconds)" (More information than you would
*ever* need to know <g> )

It isn't but it's possible to do a View / Toolbars / Web (on several
versions) , enter a URL, stop/back/fwd etc.

Nice to see someone being helpful rather than sarcastic.

There should be some websites for people just starting with computers, once
he gets into Google.
Any suggestions? I'm not much further myself!
