Dear Ebay user,
Dear valued eBay member, It has come to our attention that your eBay Billing
Information records are out of date. That requires you to update the Billing
Information If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online
experience and update your billing records, you will not run into any future
problems with eBay's online service. However, failure to update your records
will result in account termination. Please update your records in maximum 24
hours. Once you have updated your account records, your eBay session will
not be interrupted and will continue as normal. Failure to update will
result in cancellation of service, Terms of Service (TOS) violations or
future billing problems.
Please click here to update your billing records.

Ebay doesn't do that... Cancel accounts because they're "out of date."

Done...but what's the idiot that posted it getting out of it? I can't
figure out motivation, here. I don't see a redirect.

First of all; whoops. I mixed my phishes. Should have said
.
Presumably, the poster has received this as email, and *was*
wondering if it was legit (just to be clear on that).
How the redirect works, or how the page is made to appear to be part
of the Ebay domain.... I ain't the guy to ask. That phish page was down
by the time I looked, but I've looked at similar ones linked to fakes in
my Hotmail account, as well as 'Paypal' sites (I don't have accounts
with either).
The better ones *are* dead ringers for the real deal, right down to
the logos and disclaimers; and it's not hard to see how so many people
have been suckered into entering sensitive account information.

I sent there, and to paypal, just to cover all bases. I think eBay owns
PP now, anyway.

Poster didn't ask. Poster just pasted. So poster still idiot.

I didn't see any redirect obfuscation in the URL. I'm no guru on that,
but I don't know how a string of digits appended to a pp URL would
accomplish that. Maybe someone else can explain? <--question

Well duh. Now, how does that relate to the URL I'm talking about, which
had a form nothing like that one?
