OS XP Pro
Why does my windows notification area (small toolbar bottom of right hand
side) only show four icons for background processes that are running.
I have customised it properties>items always show, but it still will only
display the four icons.
Is there a limit on how many icons can be displayed?
TIA

Maybe the processes you are not seeing are not supposed to show on the
taskbar. You should be seeing (if you've got them running) - firewall
- AVP - mail - volume.

Sorry about that, clicked the wrong group. I am sure you will understand.
Can you help with the problem at hand?

Seems like Arse had a good answer. But you could ask over at
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

You may need a 3rd pary app that will sit on the tray bar and show you
all the processes running on your machine.

Check through
