I went into the bias settings last night and set it not to scan disk on a
bad shutdown thinking it may have been a mistake have tried to correct it
but can not find it any ware can anyone help and would it be a problem if
left alone. I am on win ME

It is BIOS (letter 'O', and capital letters) not bias.

Disabling scandisk after a bad shutdown is NOT a
good idea. It is also not disabled from the BIOS.

Start / Run / msconfig
Press the Advanced button; the option is there.
