I have a DVD-RW writer and I have no trouble burning data DVD's
and viewing them but when I try to view a DVD I got from the store,
it just won't work for me, do I need some kind of a DVD player program
to play them?

Thanks for any help you all can give me.

Joseph.

Yes, you need a player. Something like CyberLink PowerDVD Player. The CD
that came with your DVD writer should have had a player on it. Did you ever
install it? Data DVD's are just folders. Windows Explorer handles that.
