I run IE6 on NT 4.0 (SP6) and the website below has installed some VBScript
crap on my PC that I think is causing me a problem with my network login script. It starts when I ran the Driver Detective at the following address http://www.drivershq.com/predd.asp I then received 2 security warnings. The first was for an ActiveX control which I alloowed and downloaded. The second was something to do with VBScript (sorry I can't be more specific). Having used this site on another PC, I felt safe. So I carried on and allowed this too. Up springs the file copy thing in the top left-hand side of the screen and starts copying DLL's over.. copy, copy, copy.. then "would I like to reboot?" Sure, OK, I'll reboot. Now my bloody network login script doesn't work, and I'm sure there's a connection, Any ideas about how I can find out what was copied onto my PC from this site. I've tried looking at all my most recently created/modified files but no luck. Better still, can anyone predict (or figure out by going to the site) what was downloaded after saying OK to that second security warning (I'm not worried about the ActiveX bit, I uninstalled it anyway) Please don't just suggest Spybot etc - I'm sure it's not spyware/addware/otherware related, it's just some crappy dll's that just get in the way. Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention - The Driver Detective thingy (the reason I accepted these security warnings and downloaded this script or whatever in the first place) doesn't work anyway. I get: Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0006' And looking this error up didn't really get me anywhere. gigajosh |
